An original watercolor painting produced with highest quality watercolor pigments on Arches professional, archival paper.

The iris reference material for this painting is the same that I used for “Purple Iris” however it looks quite different. For this painting, I changed the color scheme completely, added leaves and a flower bud, and made a solid dark background to pop the flower forward. I enjoy seeing how many different paintings I can make from one subject, so who knows what will be next! Thanks for viewing! Comments are welcome!
